The notes you type into the App — free-text lines describing your spending and income — and optional profile details such as your preferred currency.

Financial Notes

Penno is local-first: your notes and the transactions parsed from them are stored on your device. We do not require or collect bank account credentials, and the App does not connect to your bank.

Usage Data

Features used, session duration, app performance data, and crash reports.

Device Information

Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide the App's features; parse your typed notes into transactions, categories, and forecasts; process subscriptions; send push notifications (with consent); improve the App; respond to inquiries; comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Processing

The text you type may be processed using third-party AI services to parse it into structured transactions. This text may be temporarily stored during processing. We do not use your data to train AI models. AI-generated results are for informational purposes only.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information with: service providers (cloud hosting, AI processing, analytics); Apple for subscription management; law enforcement if required by law; third parties in connection with a merger or acquisition.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your data is stored primarily on your device. Where data is processed on our servers, we implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
